Job summary

The Nebraska Urban Indian Health Coalition is seeking a General Repair and Maintenance Technician to sustain and improve facilities and grounds, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients and staff.

You will perform routine repairs, coordinate with vendors, and manage preventative maintenance to keep systems reliable. This in‑person role requires hands‑on work, strong problem‑solving, and adherence to safety standards across multiple sites in the Omaha area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years in building maintenance or related field.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check.
• Ability to operate maintenance tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, furnishings, and fixtures.
• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and mechanical issues.
• Develop and implement scheduled preventative maintenance activities.
• Maintain building exteriors, parking areas, sidewalks, and landscaping.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for quotes and work.
