Job summary

Walmart is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment across multiple locations in Fairview, TN. You will inspect, document wear, and coordinate repairs with teams and vendors.

Candidates should have a vocational/technical program, 2+ years in related trades, and a valid driver's license. The role involves operating forklifts and heavy machinery while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the FMCSA, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
• Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
• Observes and documents signs of wear and tear.
• Gathers capital expense information.
• Recommends repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs.
• Maintains and operates heavy machinery following safety procedures.
