Job summary

South Dakota Mines is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform paint and wall repair as part of remodeling and renovation projects, and to assist with general maintenance tasks across facilities. The role includes basic plumbing, changing light bulbs, moving furniture, and repairing floor coverings.

A valid driver’s license is required. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of building maintenance practices, construction methods, and be able to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general building or facility maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of building construction concepts.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment associated with maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Paint and wall repair in remodeling projects and windows walls, ceilings, and doors.
• Perform basic plumbing work on drains, faucets, and fixtures.
• Assist in grounds, custodial, and shop departments and perform other duties as assigned.
