Job summary

The Town of Apex is seeking a Facility Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs across Town facilities. You will handle electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, with on-call duties and weather-related response as needed.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least one year in mechanical/electrical trades or building maintenance. A North Carolina driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience in mechanical/electrical trade skills and building/facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Responds to service calls and performs repairs on facilities and equipment.
• Performs daily HVAC checks using BAS and logs system status.
• Maintains and repairs HVAC equipment including pumps, fans, air handlers, boilers and related components.
• Maintains fire protection systems and monitors alarms.
• Rebuilds water pumps and related mechanical equipment.
• Operates generators and a variety of tools; follows safety practices.
• Maintains preventive maintenance schedule and CMMS records.
