Job summary

Husson University is seeking candidates to join its maintenance team responsible for the upkeep of buildings, equipment and grounds. The role includes entering work orders, basic carpentry and painting, moving furniture, landscaping, and snow removal duties.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED, and 2 years of facilities maintenance experience; plumbing background and basic computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two years’ experience and/or training in facilities maintenance or construction preferred.
• Background in plumbing preferred.
• Basic computer experience is required.
• Basic knowledge of tools and equipment related to this job description is required.

Responsibilities

• Enter and track maintenance work orders using a computerized maintenance management system.
• Assist in maintenance and upkeep of university properties including painting, remodeling, and carpentry, lighting, and plumbing fixtures.
• Move, deliver and repair office/dorm furniture and equipment.
• Maintain landscaping including mowing, raking, and planting.
• Perform work from ladders, elevated platforms, and rooftops; operate on-call duty rotation.
