Job summary

Pruitthealth Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Assistant HCC to support the nursing center in performing repairs, inspections and routine maintenance in a safe, compliant manner.

The role covers HVAC maintenance, oxygen concentrator checks, fire alarm tests, electrical work, carpentry, plumbing and grounds upkeep, with on-the-job training provided and a focus on patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance of air conditioners/heaters.
• Uses pressure washer as requested.
• Uses electrical tools and equipment when appropriate (voltmeter, drills, saws, etc.).
• Checks oxygen level of concentrators as requested or needed.
• Performs routine maintenance of oxygen concentrator as scheduled/needed.
• Performs water temperature tests as requested/scheduled.
• Tests fire alarm systems as scheduled/needed.
• Tests fire safety equipment as scheduled/needed.
• Builds benches, flower boxes, and carpentry projects using wood, plaster, cement and nails.
• Completes general maintenance, plumbing repair, replacing/ unclogging hair traps, unplugging toilets, repairing washers/dryers, replacing broken pipes/water lines.
• Maintains/replaces electrical outlets and light bulbs; rewires/replaces wiring in equipment.
• Installs and checks batteries of smoke alarms.
• Assists in fire drills; checks extinguishers and assists with inspection.
• Removes furniture/clothing from rooms no longer occupied; assists in moving belongings.
• Paints interior or exterior; may wallpaper.
• Assists in construction of additions onto the center.
• Maintains grounds; may mow, trim hedges, weed.
• Performs routine laundry equipment maintenance.
• Performs unscheduled maintenance tasks as requested.
• Performs generator testing and routine maintenance.
