Bass Pro Shops in Michigan is seeking a General Maintenance professional to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across store facilities. You will oversee contractors and carry out repairs in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other trades, ensuring safety and energy efficiency.

The role emphasizes broad mechanical aptitude, ability to supervise others, and commitment to excellent customer service while supporting corporate facility programs and store operations at Rapid City location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 1-2 year vocational training required.
• Broad mechanical ability and hands-on maintenance experience.
• Willingness to supervise others and coordinate contractors.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical repair: lamp changes, lighting installation, diagnostics.
• Plumbing repair: pump/fixture installation, drain cleaning, diagnostics.
• Maintain understanding of HVAC equipment operations and maintenance procedures.
• Perform basic mechanical repairs on tractors, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• Repairs building: painting, carpentry, masonry and floor repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to support energy conservation and waste programs.
• Maintain equipment and perform repairs across multiple trades.
• Work with others, oversee the work of staff and contractors.
