Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Rifle, CO is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to help keep our store safe, functional and welcoming.

You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on facilities, equipment, and fixtures under the supervision of the General Maintenance Manager. The role requires physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform multiple crafts such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry and MHE.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry and MHE.
• Utilize the work order system to receive reactive repair work orders and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
