Job summary

Daniel Memorial Inc. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Director of Facilities in maintaining grounds, buildings, systems and vehicles. This is a full-time role with hours Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm, and includes benefits.

Salary ranges from $17.00 to $19.20 per hour, based on experience, with competitive health/dental plans, 401(k) with employer match and PTO. Requires a High School Diploma, 3+ years of relevant trades experience, valid driver’s license, and

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.
3+ years of relevant experience in minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall repairs, and painting.
Driver license in good standing.
Must pass Level 2 background screening.

Responsibilities

Assists the Director of Facilities with maintenance of facilities, grounds and vehicles.
Ensures compliance with emergency and life safety systems regulations.
Communicates with contractors and reports issues to the Director of Facilities.
Keeps maintenance equipment, vehicles and housekeeping systems in compliance with laws and policies.
Maintains plumbing, electrical and water systems to meet agency standards at all times.
Tracks maintenance needs with the Director of Facilities and records costs.
Maintains sanitation standards per City Health Department and regulators.
May be on-call on a rotating schedule; overtime possible.
