Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join the founding team at our new residential treatment facility in Rochester Hills, Michigan. You will help get the facility ready for opening, manage deliveries, and keep the building safe and well maintained for patients and staff.

The role is full-time on-site with standard hours, plus after-hours and weekend availability as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of experience in building, facility, or residential maintenance.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair.
• Familiarity with building, safety, and health codes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
• Availability for after-hours and weekend work as needed; ability to manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to urgent repairs.

Responsibilities

• Facility Launch Readiness: participate in pre-opening inspections and walkthroughs; track open items to completion; receive, check, and manage deliveries of furniture, appliances, equipment, and supplies; coordinate with vendors, contractors, and leadership to keep tasks on schedule.
• Ongoing Maintenance & Repairs: perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, remodeling, renovations, and general repairs; install and maintain appliances, furniture, and fixtures; monitor and respond to issues; ensure compliance with building, safety, and health codes; maintain cleanliness and safety of the facility.
• Qualifications: required and preferred qualifications are listed, including trade certifications and licenses.
