Job summary

Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join the local store team in Richmond, VA. The role involves performing routine maintenance to keep facilities safe, functional, and appealing, under supervision of the General Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities include repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and equipment, using both hand and power tools, responding to emergencies, and documenting work orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational or technical certification plus 1 year in trades, or 2 years total trade experience.
• 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple crafts (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.).
• Use work order system to receive and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required safety training to operate equipment and tools.
