Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Six months of related experience with minor repairs and use of tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in various weather.
• Working knowledge of hand and power tools and basic appliances.

Responsibilities

• Assess facility equipment and structures for maintenance needs.
• Troubleshoot minor maintenance problems in electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment.
• Perform routine and emergency repairs on equipment, fixtures, and building systems.
• Communicate issues to program supervisor promptly.
• Purchase supplies and materials to complete projects.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; ensure tools are safe and in good condition.
• Move furniture and large items as required.
• Track and report completed tasks and assignments.
• Report repairs and hazardous conditions to management promptly.
• Respond to emergencies and follow safety protocols.
• Travel between YAI facilities to purchase supplies or complete tasks.
• May operate YAI vehicle to transport materials.
• Attend training and safety programs as required.
• Adhere to company policies, safety regulations and OSHA requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
