Job summary

Rite of Passage in Miami, FL is hiring a Maintenance Worker to support the Miami Youth Academy. This full-time, on-site role involves general building maintenance, minor electrical, plumbing, painting, and ensuring a safe, well-maintained environment for youth in care.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and the ability to pass background checks, drug screen, and TB test. Prior maintenance experience is preferred, and the schedule may include overtime with a

Qualifications

High school diploma required.
Prior building maintenance experience preferred (general building maintenance, minor electrical, painting, door hardware, minor plumbing, drains, etc.).
Must possess a valid state driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record for the past 3 years.
Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, and TB test.
Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.
Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week and a designated schedule, with possible overtime.

Responsibilities

Maintain and ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for youth at the Miami Youth Academy.
Perform general building maintenance tasks (electrical, painting, plumbing, hardware) and report needs to supervisor.
