Job summary

Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Goldsboro, NC store team. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to keep facilities safe, functional, and welcoming for customers and associates.

Under supervision of the General Maintenance Manager, you’ll tackle plumbing, electrical, carpentry and equipment tasks using hand and power tools, complete training, and respond promptly to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, or related trades.
• 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, or related trades.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• DUI/DWI restrictions and driving history policies as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
