Job summary

Compal USA Technology is expanding its Taylor, TX operations, seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician III to support advanced manufacturing. The role focuses on troubleshooting complex facility and production-support equipment, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and guiding junior technicians.

You will diagnose motors, pumps, HVAC systems, sensors, and electrical equipment, read schematics, and maintain records in CMMS.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, data centers, or a similar maintenance environment.
• Strong multi-craft mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and controls troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of motors, VFDs, pumps, pneumatics, conveyors, facility utilities, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and basic P&IDs.
• Experience with preventive/corrective maintenance and CMMS systems.
• Ability to safely lead maintenance activities and support junior technicians.
• Experience in a high-volume or 24/7 manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair motors, pumps, fans, bearings, valves, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and other facility equipment.
• Perform complex preventive and corrective maintenance using drawings, schematics, manuals, and approved procedures.
• Troubleshoot VFDs, sensors, controls, motor-control systems, and electrical equipment.
• Support generators, ATS, UPS, battery systems, and electrical distribution equipment.
• Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC and utility systems, including chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, CRAC/CRAH units, compressed air, pumps, and exhaust systems.
• Follow LOTO and electrical safety procedures during maintenance activities.
• Provide technical guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 technicians and escalate critical issues when necessary.
• Document maintenance activities, equipment failures, and corrective actions in the CMMS.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician III to support our growing manufacturing operations.
