Woodward is seeking an experienced Facilities - Maintenance Technician II for a 1st shift position in Rockford, IL. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and records management to ensure reliable equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance in industrial or commercial environments.
• Knowledge of general facility systems (doors, locks, lighting, plumbing, HVAC support, basic electrical).
• Ability to perform minor carpentry, drywall, painting and hardware repairs.
• Experience responding to work orders in occupied buildings.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting building equipment and identifying repair needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce unexpected failures.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and resolve equipment malfunctions using standard troubleshooting methods.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, repairs performed and parts used.
• Adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate technical information and maintenance status effectively within the team.
