This is a full-time 1st shift position. Weekend availability is required. Pay range is $24.00 - 27.00 based on experience and education.

Summary

We are seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician (minimum 3+ years of experience). This role requires the ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and perform all Tech III duties while developing mechanical expertise on the property. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues, plumbing, preventative maintenance, building rounds, kitchen equipment repairs, and sharing knowledge of skills.

Essential Functions

• Learn new tasks and hotel standards, policies, and procedures
• Perform repairs on toilets, tubs/shower fixtures, hardware, drywall, paint, wallpaper
• Operate heavy equipment and lifts, adhere to ladder and fall protection safety standards
• Use electrical multimeters for troubleshooting low/high voltage and controls
• Perform plumbing tasks including soldering, drain snaking, PVC, CPVC, PEX, pipe threading
• Weld and replace lightbulbs, ceiling tiles
• Operate and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems
• Possibly operate pools and repair mechanical pumps
• Understand domestic, non-domestic, chilled water, heat, and snowmelt water loops
• Knowledge of AHU, MAU, exhaust systems, cooling towers, chillers, boilers, exchangers, and steam systems
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical parts breakdowns
• Maintain tools and equipment, keep logs, and ensure safety and cleanliness
• Provide technical advice and training when needed
• Perform duties professionally, maintain a safe environment, and report to management timely

Required Skills

• Valid driver’s license

• Michigan Boiler Operator license
• Michigan Mechanical Contractor license
• Journeyman/master Electrical license
• Michigan Journeyman or Master plumber license
• CPO certification

Education and Experience

• Two years of college or trade school in mechanical, electrical, HVAC/R, or technical disciplines
• Over 3 years of maintenance/facilities/trades experience
• Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred
