Job summary

AltaPointe Health Systems in Mobile, AL seeks an Assistant Maintenance Engineer to perform general maintenance across outpatient programs, group homes, administration buildings and hospitals. You will repair electrical systems, paint, replace glass, and handle carpentry tasks.

Responsibilities include maintaining HVAC and plumbing, inspecting and servicing equipment, and coordinating with the Facility Manager. A high school diploma and a valid Alabama driver license are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid Alabama driver license and good driving record.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to use power tools, hand tools, and electrical test equipment such as volt-ohm meters.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Must lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance for AltaPointe facilities.
• Repair electrical systems, paint, and replace broken glass.
• Do carpentry, sheetrock repair and related tasks.
• Maintain air conditioners, heating and plumbing equipment.
• Inspect, service and repair equipment used in maintenance.
• Advise Facility Manager on needed repairs.
• Work cooperatively with AltaPointe staff.
• Follow AltaPointe policies and procedures.
