Job summary

Geronimo Hospitality Group seeks a Facilities Technician I to perform maintenance on assigned properties, addressing safety hazards and keeping facilities aesthetically pleasing. You will respond to maintenance calls and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Your work will directly impact community spaces, with emphasis on attention to detail and safe, clean environments for tenants and guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• General knowledge in building and grounds maintenance.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with tenants, contractors and management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Yardi or equivalent software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Focus on aesthetics of a property or group of properties.
• Grounds and parking lot clean up.
• Verify lighting systems are operating properly.
• Maintain entrances of tenant spaces cleanliness.
• Check fire extinguishers and exit/emergency lights.
• Snow/ice removal as needed.
• Identify safety hazards on properties.
• Maintain landscapes and hardscapes.
• Support other maintenance technicians when needed.
• Keep shop and work areas clean.

As the Facilities Technician I, you are responsible for performing maintenance on assigned properties to keep them free from safety hazards and ensure they are kept in aesthetically pleasing condition. This position is responsible for responding to maintenance calls and concerns.

Your ability to own your work and drive success will make a direct impact on the communities we serve.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Full focus on aesthetics of a property or group of properties.
• Grounds/parking lot clean up.
• Verifies all lighting systems are operating properly.
• Attention to detail on cleanliness of entrances of tenant suites/spaces.
• Perform routine checks/sign offs of fire extinguishers and exit/emergency lights within the property(s).
• Snow/ice removal as necessary.
• Identifying any potential safety hazards on a property or group of properties.
• Maintaining landscapes/hardscapes within the property(s).
• Support for other Maintenance Technicians when necessary.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the shop/working areas.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience and/or Training

• General knowledge in building and grounds maintenance
• Valid driver's license
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with tenants, contractors and management.

Technology/Equipment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Degree from a two or four-year college or university.

Technology/Equipment

• Yardi or equivalent software experience

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT

• U.S. Work Authorization (required).
