Job summary

Goose Creek Correctional Center seeks a Maintenance Specialist to perform maintenance on gas-fired burners, HVAC and related systems at Mackenzie Point, Alaska. You will conduct inspections, troubleshoot, and repair equipment while coordinating with supervisors on parts and orders.

This role is within the Department of Corrections and requires compliance with security and safety standards. Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, accountability, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Service, clean, and repair gas fired burners, HVAC equipment, ventilation, refrigeration, freezers, compressors, and water heaters.
• Perform routine and non-routine inspections and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on HVAC, ventilation, refrigeration, freezers, compressors, and water heaters.
• Obtain quotes and advise supervisor for ordering parts; ensure parts are available when needed.
