A leading local government entity is searching for a skilled maintenance worker to perform repairs on facilities, buildings, and equipment in Sanford, Florida. Skilled work performing maintenance of facilities, buildings, and equipment, including general electric, plumbing, and construction work. Performs general maintenance duties, including large and small scale painting, dry wall tape and finish, laminating, carpentry, and woodwork. Functions independently within scope of abilities. Participates in projects as part of a work team.
**Salary will be determined depending on qualifications of candidates who exceed the minimum requirements as outlined within the job description.

Performs basic building and grounds maintenance/repair tasks. Responds and takes action in emergency situations to prevent potential hazardous conditions.
Performs cleanup and worksite restoration. Maintains records as required.
Follows safety procedures carefully at all times. Ability to carry out written and/or oral instructions.
In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.
Completion of high school/GED and two (2) years experience.
Ability to perform mathematical computations.
Basic computer knowledge.
Basic blueprint reading.
Ability to operate various tools, both manual and power.
Ability to use and repair small, medium, and heavy equipment and machinery.
Must possess and maintain a Florida Driver's License.
