Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for our Hesperia, CA location. The role performs skilled building maintenance across painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and related trades to keep facilities safe and functional on site.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 5 years of related work, a valid California driver's license, and strong problem solving and communication skills. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Five years’ experience or equivalent.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
• Able to read and write at required level.
• Timely completion of tasks and strong relationships with staff.

Responsibilities

• Respond immediately to emergency maintenance requests in the building.
• Repair leaky faucets, toilets, dispensers and snake clogged plumbing when necessary.
• Wall cleaning, painting, plaster and drywall when necessary.
• Repair and replace doors and windows when necessary.
• Minimum electrical work, depending on experience.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment for carpentry, plumbing, and maintenance.
• Position is full-time and on-site.
• Other duties may be assigned.

We are hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician in our Hesperia location! Dire Hire - Full Benefits from day one Summary: Provides a variety of skilled duties in one or more buildings, such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, cement masonry, minor electrical, dry wall or other recognized crafts for the purpose of maintaining and repairing buildings and facilities. Utilize safety processes and procedures on a daily basis.

Qualifications and/or Education

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Five (5) years’ experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Must have a valid California Driver’s License.
• Must be able to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.

Pay Range: $32.00 hourly* *The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
