Job summary

Doxim is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the Facilities Manager with hands-on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across building systems and utilities.

You will work independently on routine and moderately complex tasks, respond to work orders and emergencies, and escalate major concerns to the Facilities Manager. The role requires proactive problem-solving and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least three years of facility, commercial building, industrial, manufacturing, or related maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and general building-maintenance practices.
• Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and resolve routine and moderately complex maintenance problems.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, meters, and maintenance diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read work orders, equipment manuals, safety instructions, diagrams, and basic blueprints or schematics.
• Basic computer skills and experience using email, work-order software, or a computerized maintenance management system.
• Strong organization, time-management, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and work independently with limited supervision.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime, weekends, or emergency call-ins.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record if operating company vehicles is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems, equipment, utilities, and building components.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, lighting, and general building systems.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance activities according to procedures and timelines.
• Respond to work orders, equipment failures, safety concerns, and urgent facility needs.
• Diagnose maintenance problems and escalate complex issues to the Facilities Manager.
• Install, repair, or replace lighting, outlets, switches, plumbing fixtures, doors, locks, and ceiling tiles.
• Monitor building automation systems, alarms, and equipment conditions.
• Assist with facility improvement projects and on-site coordination with contractors.
