Job summary

MEYER DISTRIBUTING INC is seeking a reliable General Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs across systems and structures at our Carlisle, PA facilities.

The role involves travel to our Sinking Springs, PA site as needed, with a pay rate of $25.50–$27.50/hr and a 6:00am-3:00pm EST schedule. Prior warehouse or building maintenance experience is preferred and a PA driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Certification: Requires a valid PA driver's license.
• Training: Minimum one month on the job training required.
• Experience: Previous warehouse maintenance or building maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• PIT mechanic for Carlisle and Sinking Spring facilities (including forklift, manlift, dock plates and dock door repairs).
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry maintenance and general building maintenance.
• Perform physical PIT equipment inspections daily.
• Make repairs in the facility to include painting, drywall, basic plumbing, racking, etc.
• Seasonal groundskeeping duties such as mowing grass, weed eating, general landscaping, snow removal, etc.
• Use of company truck to travel between facilities.
• All other duties as assigned.
