Job summary

Walmart in Hartford, WI is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join the local team. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure safe, functional, and well-presented facilities and equipment across the store.

You will operate under the General Maintenance Manager, adhere to schedules, and engage in responsive repairs, emergency calls, and preventive maintenance while promoting Walmart’s standards of service and safety.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs.
• Can move up and down ladders frequently.
• Comfortable working at heights frequently.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and MVR.
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, or related).
• Use work order system to receive and document repair work orders and support stores.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete training requirements to operate equipment safely.
