Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join the local and regional team in Hayward, WI. This role involves maintaining and repairing Walmart facilities, using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling skills, and responding to emergency maintenance calls.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, trade experience (5–7 years), and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work at heights. A strong focus on safety and efficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
• Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 7 years' experience in one of these trades.
• 1 year's experience using Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Can lift up to 75 lbs.
• Can move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment) and tools
• Utilize the work order system to receive and document repair work orders
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
