Job summary

The Maintenance Technician at the Clinton Presidential Center plays a vital role in upkeep, repairs, and safe operation of facilities, equipment, and grounds. This position handles routine grounds maintenance, basic facility repairs, preventive maintenance, and supports work orders to keep the museum environment welcoming for visitors, guests, students, and staff.

Qualifications include High School diploma or GED, 3–5 years in maintenance, skilled with hand and power tools, forklift/boom/scissor

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of maintenance/grounds/construction experience.
• Skilled with hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment, and general maintenance tools.
• Able to operate forklift, boom lift, and scissor lift.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Some knowledge of AV tech language and data usage.

Responsibilities

• Repair surfaces with drywall patching, painting, and basic carpentry.
• Perform routine grounds maintenance: mowing, weed eating, tree trimming, debris removal.
• Clean exteriors, walkways, and facilities daily for a welcoming environment.
• Inspect areas and equipment, report safety concerns and issues to supervisor.
• Perform preventive maintenance and general maintenance tasks.
• Oversee garden projects with Master Gardeners.
• Communicate work orders and status with supervisors and teammates.
• Organize tasks and manage priorities to complete work on schedule.
• Monitor inventory of facility supplies and coordinate restocking.
• Ensure tools and equipment are clean, charged, fueled, and organized.
• Maintain inspection logs for forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.
• Assist with minor plumbing, irrigation, and electrical repairs.
• Perform other duties to support Clinton Foundation operations.
