Job summary

Steel and Pipe Supply is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to oversee facility upkeep, maximize equipment effectiveness, and uphold a safe, cost-controlled work environment.

Responsibilities include servicing overhead cranes, production machinery, and material handling equipment; keeping detailed SAP PM records; training new staff; and procuring parts within budget. The role requires flexible shifts and on-call availability across weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Adhere to safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Inspect, service and repair facility equipment and property.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in SAP PM.
• Train and coach new Maintenance personnel.
• Procure parts and supplies to keep equipment up-time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Attend safety, department, and company meetings.
• Follow safety policies and safe work practices.
• Repair, service and inspect facility equipment including cranes, machinery, and grounds.
• Maintain an organized and clean maintenance shop.
• Maintain safety data sheets and handle hazardous materials.
• Lock out/Tag out procedures.
• Train and coach new maintenance personnel.
• Procure parts to ensure equipment up-time.
• Maintain and report department expenses within budget.
