The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Human Services seeks a Maintenance Repairman 2 to support the Wernersville State Hospital campus. You will perform skilled and semi-skilled work across building trades to keep facilities safe and functional.

This full-time role offers a 37.5-hour week with a 2:00 PM–10:00 PM shift, occasional overtime, and a starting salary of $41,506 per year, before taxes. Applicants must meet residency requirements and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 or four years in building and plant maintenance, with at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the required knowledges, skills, and abilities

Responsibilities

• General Repairs: Perform building maintenance, basic repairs, and renovations across hospital property
• Electrical Tasks: Install circuits, lighting, outlets, and related electrical components
• Plumbing Work: Install and maintain pipes, plumbing fixtures, and related equipment
• Surface Finishing: Prep, prime, paint, and finish both interior and exterior surfaces
• Carpentry Skills: Construct framing, hang drywall, install trim, and set doors and windows
• Equipment Use: Operate and maintain tools and machinery in a safe and responsible manner
