Job summary

RTX is seeking a Staff Technician, Facilities Maintenance – 1st Shift (Onsite) at our Melbourne, FL facility to install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, HVAC, and fire protection equipment. The role supports facility operations with documentation, safety, and teamwork.

Requirements include an AA/AS degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, ability to read blueprints, and capability to lift heavy equipment in varied industrial settings.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in industrial electrical systems, HVAC maintenance, and fire protection systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces and heights.
• Availability to work in shifts, weekends, or on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, control panels, and motors.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation units.
• Test, inspect, and maintain fire detection and suppression systems; ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain records of work performed and coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
