Job summary

Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Johnstown, PA facility. The role focuses on preventative and routine maintenance of equipment, working independently or with team members to ensure maximum efficiency.

You will collaborate with electricians and facilities staff and participate in project work as needed. Requirements include at least five years of maintenance experience, knowledge of safety regulations, and ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of prior experience performing facility maintenance, public works, or general maintenance.
• General knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations
• Familiarity with OSHA and safety considerations in manufacturing and office environment. Certificates in regard to using equipment, as appropriate.
• Good working knowledge of applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Experience working from blueprints, shop drawings and sketches.
• Experience working independently and in some cases with little direction.
• Experience working in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and maintain office furniture, chairs, workstations, and fixtures.
• Support office moves and setup, decorations, and supplies.
• Assist company electrician on select jobs.
• Monitor area temperatures, security systems and fire-prevention systems.
• Replace light bulbs and maintain facilities.
• Maintain site records and address facility defects with management.
• Prioritize tasks using the facilities work order system.
• Participate on projects and coordinate with the Facilities Team.
• Attend in-house trainings for forklifts and related equipment.
• Travel to local stores for supplies and upgrades as needed.
