Qualifications

• General knowledge of building maintenance and repair practices.
• Basic understanding of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial duties, including cleaning and maintaining offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Emptying trash and recycling containers.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting facility spaces.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
• Assist with building maintenance and repair activities, including basic carpentry repairs, plumbing maintenance and troubleshooting, HVAC system support and preventative maintenance, electrical repairs and equipment maintenance.
• General facility inspections and upkeep; respond to maintenance requests promptly.

Overview

We are seeking a motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the daily operation, maintenance, cleanliness, and overall upkeep of our facility. This position combines routine custodial responsibilities with hands‑on building maintenance tasks. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a general maintenance background who are eager to expand their skills and develop into a fully qualified Facilities Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial duties, including:
• Cleaning and maintaining offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
• Emptying trash and recycling containers
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting facility spaces
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment
• Assist with building maintenance and repair activities, including:
• Basic carpentry repairs
• Plumbing maintenance and troubleshooting

• Identify and report facility issues that require repair or replacement

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of one or more trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
