Job summary

GOAL High School seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support all facilities and repair needs statewide. The role covers electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks, with a focus on safe, compliant operations.

You will manage tickets, perform routine repairs, and collaborate with the Director of Facilities Management to keep campuses in optimal condition. Strong safety awareness and tool use are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate's degree or higher in Project Management or certificate in trade school preferred.
• Certifications/License in electrical, plumbing, or carpentry preferred.
• Three years in a commercial office building with general maintenance & repair experience including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry preferred.
• Three years' experience using power and/or hand tools in a commercial setting required.
• Knowledge of general safety procedures & protocols.

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for tickets and scheduling regional personnel for building issues.
• Perform simple maintenance and routine repairs not requiring a licensed professional.
• Maintain facility grounds including sprinkler repair, mowing, snow/ice removal, trash removal.
• Construct/disassemble office furniture; install flooring, paint, and lighting as needed.
• Assist with building security and respond to emergencies 24/7.
• Document work performed and manage vendor repair requests.
