GEO Reentry Services LLC. is seeking a maintenance specialist to operate and supervise facility systems, ensuring safe, compliant upkeep of buildings and equipment.

The role emphasizes preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance within a correctional environment, collaborating with a diverse team of professionals. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in maintenance or related trades, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years general maintenance and/or related construction trade.
• Valid, active driver's license.
• Ability to perform plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Effective communication with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and machinery for preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
• Survey assigned jobs and ensure materials and tools are on hand.
• Direct and inspect detainee maintenance staff, providing technical assistance.
• Perform carpentry to repair or replace doors, windows, walls, flooring, roofing, etc.
• Carry out repairs for plumbing, heating, and air conditioning, including furnaces, ductwork, piping, and fixtures.
• Perform electrical work, such as repairing fluorescent fixtures and wiring.
• Execute minor construction work, building storage bins, shelves, counters, and benches.
• Complete mechanical work involving facility machinery, motors, and vehicles.
• Assist in maintaining the security of assigned detainees.
