Job summary

CJR is seeking a Maintenance Service Technician for our Litchfield campus in Connecticut. The role is full-time with hours Monday through Friday and occasional weekend on-call duties to support snow removal and events.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of facility maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate all grounds equipment safely. You will perform repairs, monitor systems, and assist with daily operations across CJR properties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of facility maintenance experience.
• Experience in general building and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to operate all types of grounds keeping equipment safely.
• Ability to read, understand and comprehend shop service manuals pertaining to all grounds equipment/and ability to carry out service of equipment.
• Valid driver’s license to utilize a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• General repair of buildings and equipment as described.
• Monitor campus drainage systems including underground piping and roof drains.
• Maintain mechanical systems including heating, fire alarm and sprinkler systems and AC.
• Assist with janitorial duties as needed and with preventative maintenance.
• Support snow removal, outdoor maintenance, and events as required.
• Coordinate with outside contractors as needed and assist with on-call duties.
