Job summary

Triton Environmental Consultants, Ltd. seeks a Building and Grounds Facilities Technician to maintain the safety, appearance, and reliability of its facilities and grounds.

You will perform inspections, routine repairs, and preventive maintenance while collaborating with the maintenance team and contractors. The role requires hands-on skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC support, and groundskeeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read basic drawings, equipment manuals, safety instructions, and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain buildings, offices, warehouses, storage areas, and exterior structures.
• Perform carpentry, plumbing, painting, drywall, concrete, roofing, and minor masonry repairs.
• Repair doors, locks, windows, gates, overhead doors, docks, handrails, stairs, ladders, and safety barriers.
• Inspect roofs, gutters, drains, downspouts, and building penetrations for leaks or damage.
• Perform basic electrical work such as replacing lights, switches, receptacles, and fixtures within qualifications.
• Assist with HVAC systems, exhaust fans, heaters, ventilation equipment, and facility temperature-control systems.
• Repair water lines, drains, sinks, toilets, faucets, valves, hoses, and other general plumbing components.
• Inspect parking lots, sidewalks, fencing, signage, exterior lighting, storm drains, and loading areas.
• Support facility-cleanliness programs.
• Inspect emergency lighting, exit signs, eyewash stations, safety showers, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance work orders in the eMaint CMMS.
• Identify and report safety hazards, structural damage, security concerns, leaks, and other facility risks.
• Respond to urgent building, grounds, utility, security, and weather-related issues.
• Maintain tools, equipment, storage areas, and workspaces in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Support production maintenance and other assigned duties when directed by the Maintenance Manager.
