Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Omaha, NE is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to perform building repairs and maintenance on a 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. The role involves lighting maintenance, minor plumbing and electrical tasks, and general upkeep of offices and common areas.

You will work with a team to address tenant service requests, inspect facilities, and respond to emergencies 24/7 while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining workspace cleanliness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of applicable working experience in general building repair & maintenance, basic plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical skills preferred.
• Basic computer skills and experience with a CMMS are needed.
• Must have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders up to 28 ft., possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve general maintenance issues.
• Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts.
• Work with the team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
• General interior maintenance – hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems.
• Minor plumbing repairs.
• Completes special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
• Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.
• Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence, reporting conditions impacting client occupancy and operations.
• Respond to emergencies 24/7.
• Comply with all safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping.
