Job summary

The City of Cheyenne is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform diverse building and grounds maintenance under supervision. You will handle carpentry, basic plumbing, door hardware, drywall, roofing, and general upkeep to support safe city facilities.

Responsibilities include inspecting facilities daily, coordinating with city offices, and performing semi-skilled construction and repair tasks, with availability for nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• One year of construction, maintenance, and repair experience.
• Welding, carpentry, plumbing experience preferred.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-skilled construction, maintenance, repair work for City facilities.
• Install/repair doors, locks, frames and hardware.
• Inspect the Municipal Building before opening for business each day.
• Maintain trustworthy relationships with City offices and employees served by the division.
• Perform general cleanup at job sites and other duties as required.
