Dayton T. Brown, Inc. in Bohemia, NY is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and improve two large buildings and 31 acres of property.

The position will cover two large buildings and 31 acres of property. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys variety, and is willing to assist with a broad range of facility maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in carpentry, facilities or related trades.
• Strong carpentry, repair, renovation and installation skills.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and deliver quality workmanship.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors, snow removal as needed.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day maintenance, repair, renovation and improvement of two buildings and 31 acres.
• Build new offices and renovate existing areas.
• Support general corporate maintenance across facilities.
• Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Repair motors, seals and pumps, and install conduit.
• Perform basic plumbing tasks and use tools safely.
• Operate snow removal equipment and plow as needed.
• Prioritize maintenance requests and work independently or with the team.
