Job summary
Amcor LLC is seeking a part-time building maintenance technician in Woodstock, IL. The role focuses on safe preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and adherence to LOTO, fall protection, and ladder safety procedures. You will perform inspections, document work, and support compliance with ISO and SQF standards.
The position requires a High School Diploma and hands-on maintenance experience. Lifting up to 50 pounds and forklift operations are part of daily tasks, with a three-day workweek
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; basic mechanical and maintenance skills essential.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools and follow safety procedures.
- Familiarity with ISO and SQF standards and building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
Responsibilities
- Understand and follow Emergency Procedures and safety protocols.
- Adhere to Lockout/Tagout procedures when servicing equipment.
- Follow Fall Protection when working at heights and utilize ladder safety practices.
- Report incidents and document maintenance in the company database.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs to maintain facility condition.
- Ensure areas are clean, organized and compliant with safety rules.
- Participate in audits and support ISO/SQF compliance.
