Job summary

LiveTrends Design Group in Apopka, FL is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support a range of maintenance tasks across warehouse and greenhouse facilities. You will perform routine repairs, assist with fixtures for tradeshows, and collaborate with trades contractors to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic construction and HVAC knowledge preferred.
• Experience in greenhouse maintenance desired.
• Able to drive a box truck.
• Detail-oriented with safety awareness.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual is a plus.

POSITION

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be helping with a variety of facilities maintenance projects.

Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards. Following standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems. Assists with miscellaneous greenhouse facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving furniture or materials within the facility. Utilizes a work order system to log activities as required. Works with or assists trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Reports to a supervisor.

Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Typically requires 3-5 years of related experience.

• Participating in safety meetings
