Job summary

The City of Maypearl is seeking a maintenance worker responsible for a wide range of repairs and general upkeep. This position includes heating and cooling system tasks, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and light construction to support city facilities.

Applicants must have 2 years in building maintenance or construction, a valid Texas driver’s license, and reside within a 30-minute drive of the work site. This on-site role offers steady, hands-on work within municipal facilities.

Qualifications

• Two years of building maintenance and/or construction work, including heating, cooling electrical and plumbing systems.
• Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the State of Texas.
• Must reside within a 30-minute drive to the designated work station per City policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform needed repairs and general maintenance.
• Repair/maintain heating and cooling systems as required.
• Drive vehicles as needed.
• Move furniture, file cabinets, equipment, etc.
• Repair/replace electric plugs and cords.
• Hammer nails/stakes. Install door closers, kick plates, locks.
• Operate drills, buffers, grinders, sanders, etc.
• Read profiles/blueprints.
• Measure using tapes, transits, levels, etc.
• Install/replace floor and ceramic tiles.

Education
