As a Facilities role, you will maintain and improve the CU's surroundings, manage vendor contracts, ensure safety standards, and support a welcoming environment for members and staff.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of similar or related experience.
  • Two-year college degree or equivalent certification or training.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs throughout CU facilities as assigned by Facilities Manager.
  • Manage small dollar contract agreements for recurring vendors including landscaping and snowplowing. Approve related invoices.
  • Respond to staff facilities-related requests as assigned by Facilities Manager.
  • Maintain system to provide adequate inventory of supplies and maintenance products at all buildings. Work with Facilities Manager to ensure best pricing and most streamlined system.
  • Follow safety standards which comply with NorthCountry, State and Federal guidelines. Complete facilities-related courses as identified by Facilities Manager.
  • Develop an understanding and working knowledge of the credit union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, policies, procedures and appropriate software systems. Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

Salary

$24/hr + Dependent on Experience

Knowledge and Skills
Experience

Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education

(1) A two-year college degree, OR (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, OR (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, OR (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal Skills

(4) Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Other Skills

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance, for example, painting, simple plumbing and carpentry. Must have a valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements

Regularly lift 25 to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Must be able to climb stairs and use a ladder.
