Job summary

Oak View Group’s Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center in Shawnee, OK seeks a dependable Maintenance Worker to repair, inspect, and maintain buildings, equipment, the RV park, and facility grounds. This role requires hands-on skills across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical tasks, with a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2+ years of maintenance, repair, construction, or facilities experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with common hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and find effective solutions.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding work.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, grounds, and facilities.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, welding, and mechanical systems and equipment.
• Repair and maintain doors, windows, walls, floors, fixtures, and other building components.
• Repair water faucets and replace electrical outlets, breakers, and related utilities within the RV park.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and conduct scheduled facility inspections.
• Maintain, service, and perform minor repairs on large equipment and vehicles.
• Assist with painting, landscaping, grounds maintenance, and general facility upkeep.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and completed work orders.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff, guests, and visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient operation.
