Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Location: Multiple Locations - Twin Cities, MN

Job Description:
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will work both independently and with the team to perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, from basic to advanced, on our shop equipment and facilities. You will also manage and coordinate subcontractors for outsourced repairs and projects, ensuring quality and efficiency. This role is crucial in keeping our shops safe, operational, and well-maintained to support our high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on shop equipment and facility structures.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, including lifts, compressors, waste oil tanks, and fluid dispensing systems.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on automotive shop equipment to minimize downtime.

  • Utilize facilities/work order software to estimate, prioritize, andmanage tasks and ensure efficient completion.

  • Oversee and manage subcontractors for specialized repairs and facility projects.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all safety regulations and standards - for the benefit of both you and those around you.

  • Collaborate with the management team to prioritize maintenance tasks and projects, ensuring alignment with Turbo Tim’s values of trust and care.

  • Ensure all work is documented, and maintenance records are kept up to date.

  • Engage in Turbo Tim’s culture and values of Community, Care, Trust, Fun, and Innovation.

  • Participation in at least one Turbo Tim’s sponsored volunteer event per year.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in general building and facility maintenance.

  • Proven experience operating, maintaining and repairing automotive shop equipment, facilities components, and other general items.

  • Experience using facilities and work order software for task management and documentation.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks flexibly while maintaining a high level of urgency and efficiency.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating Turbo Tim’s values of innovation, accountability, and teamwork.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • High degree of self-awareness knowing one’s limitations and when to ask for help or to outsource for best results.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing tasks in a timely manner.

  • Ability to provide your own set of basic tools; familiarity with using advanced tools available at the shop or rented occasionally.

  • Mechanical / construction / technical related education and certifications are preferred

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (pool vehicles may be used if available)

  • Ability to lift and work with items of up to 75 lbs
