ABM Industries is seeking an Engineering Facility Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair building systems in our Austin facilities. You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems to ensure safe and reliable operations.

You will read blueprints, follow CMMS schedules, and coordinate with vendors while upholding OSHA and safety policies. This role requires strong problem-solving and independent work habits.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school certification preferred.
• 3+ years of facility maintenance, building engineering, or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and CMMS systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and building systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building automation systems.
• Inspect facility equipment and identify maintenance needs before failures occur.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergency repairs.
• Maintain boilers, chillers, air handling units, pumps, motors, and related equipment.
• Perform basic electrical repairs including lighting, outlets, switches, and circuit troubleshooting.
• Conduct plumbing repairs including fixtures, valves, pipes, and drainage systems.
• Monitor and maintain building systems to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
• Complete maintenance logs, inspection reports, and work order documentation accurately.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors performing specialized maintenance services.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Support facility improvement projects and equipment installations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, and environmental regulations.
