Job summary

Responsibilities

• Follow up on work assignments for efficient completion.
• Notify management of maintenance problems and solutions.
• Communicate daily with Assistant Director of Facilities on status of scheduled work.
• Keep workshop or utility room clean, orderly, and safe.
• Know locations of power, water, gas shutoffs, and safety equipment.
• Assist in all aspects of maintenance (grounds, custodial, preventive, corrective, emergency).
• Perform basic painting/touch-ups of doors, walls, trim, etc.
• Maintain exterior lighting.
• Clear gutters and downspouts.
• Repair structural wear/damage to buildings.
• Care for lawn, plants, shrubs, and flowers.
• Clean parking areas, sidewalks, and common areas.
• Move/rearrange furnishings as requested.
• Service appliances, plumbing, electrical systems, etc.
• Picks up trash on property and cleans garbage areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
