Job summary

Illinois State University seeks a Facilities Maintenance Support individual to assist with maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment, and to move furniture and materials as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, two years of related experience, a valid IL driver’s license, and a pre-employment physical. CDL must be obtained within five months. Benefits include comprehensive insurance and retirement options; work hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) building mechanical and/or building electrical work experience.
• Must complete a post-offer pre-employment physical exam; employment contingent on result.
• Valid State of Illinois driver’s license (CDL within first five months; subject to random drug/alcohol testing).
• Note: CDL within first five months is required.
