Job summary

JR Automation Technologies, LLC is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Technician for our Nashville, TN division. The role oversees repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections of facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.

Join our team to support ongoing projects in a collaborative, engineering-driven environment. Prior experience with building maintenance and strong problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical HVAC/electrical/plumbing training preferred.
  • 3–5+ years facilities maintenance, building maintenance, building trades, and/or machine maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and maintenance documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools; commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and general building infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve facility-related issues quickly to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient work environment.
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs and support safety standards.
  • Support facility improvement projects, renovations, and workspace modifications, including installation and relocation of equipment and furnishings.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and inventory levels.
  • Promote a culture of safety by following procedures and helping maintain a clean, organized workplace.
  • Assist EH&S with facility-related initiatives and compliance activities.

Role Overview:

Join us as a Maintenance & Facilities Technician to support our Nashville, TN division. In this role, you are responsible for repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities. You will perform electrical, painting, and/or carpentry repairs of fixtures and equipment on company premises and conduct periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Audits and manages the cleanliness of assigned facilities including office spaces, build floors, and facility exteriors and assists with the supervision of custodial venders at assigned facilities including audits of performance.

What You'll Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, building trades, and/or machine maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools and a commitment to safe work practices.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with employees, contractors, and vendors.
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking, record‑keeping, and communication.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record may be required.
