Job summary

Optimized Process Designs is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep our Katy, TX facilities in top condition. You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks across shop, office, and warehouse, using hand and power tools, assisting with basic plumbing, HVAC, and interior finishing.

You will be part of a safety‑driven team, prioritizing requests, and supporting inventory, procurement, and reporting activities to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated knowledge of general building maintenance
• Must be willing and able to work overtime up to 50 hours per week including Saturdays
• Must be willing and able to work outside in extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance using hand tools and small power tools (e.g., Skilsaw, drill, impact driver)
• Maintain indoor lighting and service general household maintenance
• Maintain grounds appearance: pick up trash, operate mower, trimmer, and pressure washer
• Seasonal outdoor projects: gutter cleaning and window washing
• Repair fixtures and office equipment (doors, windows, appliances, chairs)
• Light plumbing maintenance (commercial toilets and sinks)
• Paint interior walls and trim as needed
• Assist with inventory control and housekeeping supplies
• Track preventative maintenance items electronically
• Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs)
• Maintain records and support administrative tasks related to maintenance operations
• Data entry, documentation, and reporting activities
